What to expect during you're tattoo session.Stencil & Setup: Your artist will prep the area, apply a stencil, and ensure you're happy with the placement before starting. ***(Please always verify any spelling or dates prior to the tattoo)*** The Process: Expect a buzzing sound from the machine and varying levels of discomfort depending on the location. Breaks: You can take breaks if needed, especially during long sessions—just let your artist know. Communication: Feel free to ask questions or mention if you Are in need of a break.

What are my healing timelines?Days 1-3: Tenderness, redness, and slight oozing (plasma, some blood, water, ink ) are normal. Days 4-14: Scabbing and peeling may occur. Keep it clean and moisturized. (Do not ”pick“ at it) Days 15+: The tattoo may look dull as it fully heals, which can take 4-6 weeks. Itchiness is normal during the healing process please just pat the area lightly do not scratch or ”pick” until there is no more peeling.

What products I should avoid?Petroleum-based products: Clogs pores and traps bacteria. Alcohol-based products: Dries and irritates healing skin. Fragrance-heavy products: Causes irritation or allergic reactions. Lanolin-based creams: May clog pores or trigger allergies. Exfoliating products: Removes healing skin and damages tattoos. Antibacterial ointments (e.g., Neosporin): Risk of allergic reactions and scabbing. Heavy lotions or oils: Blocks airflow and slows healing. Sunscreens: Irritates during the initial healing phase. Tip: Use lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizers or tattoo-specific aftercare products recommended by your tattoo artist.

How do I take care of my tattoo? “First steps”After the tattoo session, your artist will apply an antibacterial ointment and cover the tattoo with a sterile bandage. Keep the bandage (Derm Shield) on for the time specified by your artist, usually 2-5 days, if permitted it can stay up to a maximum of 7 days. When you remove the bandage, apply lukewarm to warm water and gently remove the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards. Wash the tattooed area with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel.

Can I go swimming after my tattoo session?Avoid soaking the tattoo in water, including swimming pools, hot tubs, and baths, until it's fully healed. Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent friction and irritation on the tattooed area.

How do I take off my Dermshield?When you remove the bandage, apply lukewarm to warm water and gently remove the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards. or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
